This years only one day national championship title goes on the line on Saturday 1 May 2010 at the Waikato Winter Show in Hamilton.
The Rock FM 2010 New Zealand Offroad Racing Shortcourse Champs is ORANZ sanctioned and is open to all ORANZ racers.
Race Format: 5 Shortcourse races followed by a "B" feature and an "A" Feature. The Champion will be decided by total points

The Main Jump in front of the Claudelands Grandstand is ready to race. made from 60 tonnes of compacted clay sand mix, this ramp is 8m long and 800mm high.
Jumps done. The water-truck is getting the track dampened, done. The hydro-barriers in position and this year the promotion of the entire show uses Offroad Racing as a principle drawcard. Weather forecast is great. Looking forward to watching the new National Champion beat 'em all for the title.

Scrutineering:
Scrutineering is on the oval at the Winter Show on Friday 30th April from 4pm to 6pm. On Saturday morning Scrutineering is limited to 7am to 9am. The pit gate gets locked at 10am when the first race starts. Drivers Briefing at 9:30am and first race starts at 10am. Late arrivals will need contact the Waikato Offroad Racing Club to let them know your arrival time. Cars scrutineered on Friday may be left in a designated security area on the race track- if required.
Re-Fuelling:
Re-fuelling may be carried out in your own pit bay. All Labour Dept guidelines for safe fuel handling in motorsport sprint race environments must be observed ( see http://www.motorsport.org.nz/Pdf/Code%20of%20Practice%20Fuel.pdf
The race track length is 800m. Each race will be 5 laps. There will be 5 brackets of racing followed by a "B" Main and then an "A" Main. The New Zealand Shortcourse Champion will be the highest points racer in class competiton on the day. It is a full schedule of racing and there will be minimal gaps between races and brackets. Racing will start promptly at 10am to get through the schedule. Grids are being allocated two days before the meeting. Late entries griding will be determined by marshalls - off the back of the field.
Food Providers:
Food is not available for purchase in the pits. However close to the Grandstand in the public area will be a food concession and a major food court with terrfic variety in the main exhibitor hall.
Prizegiving:
Prizegiving will be held in the public area of the Main Grandstand after the last race of the day (allow a little time for the calculations to be completed).

Winter Show members will have access to the exclusive Members/Sponsor lounge under the Main Grandstand (tea and coffee available to members).
